This is a relatively small area with a handful of crags within the Middlesex Fells. The small cliffs are downslope of Boojum Rock towards East Border Road. It has typical Fells rock type and quality. See Black and White Rocks for a description.
Entering the Fells at Gate 55, walk a couple hundred feet, and look off to your left. You'll see a small cliff. Follow the base of the cliff into the woods, and pass a couple outcroppings. The first one is Bears Den. After Bears Den, you'll see an overhung crag about 12'-15' high. I call this Boojum Overhang, but it may have another name.
This ascends the obvious, overhung arete on the left. The slope drops down below the arete, so the higher you climb, the further over the slope you are. A good spotter is key....[more]Browse More Classics in MA
