I've trained on both. I think the bombs are without a doubt the best training for pinches I've found.

When two "normal" pinches are bolted on a wall side-by-side, they wind up being a compression problem, not a pinch problem. I've found this to be nearly universal. With the atomik bombs they are PURE pinch. It's just a question of how damn hard can you squeeze. Of course, this assumes that you're pinching them from underneath, not wrapping your hands over the top.

The missiles are so-so. I've seen some creative routes set with a missile hanging from a foot-long chain mid-route and a forced sideways swing and dyno off the missile. Lots of fun (but nothing like climbing outside) and not nearly as good at training pure hand strength.

But yeah, long story short, grab the bombs.

It's 'da Bomb for sure. Missile is easier due to its cone shape. Total grip master workout on the bombs. Go for it.

Awesome,,,Atomik is a great hold supplier, and often tosses in something for the effort. Kudos to them for the deal.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
