Chels working it on [Unnamed 5.11a (.11a)].
This is a very nice 75' vertical-to-overhanging granite wall just off the road. The rock is reminiscent of the rock in Boulder Canyon, but it is a little more crystalline. There are a good number of sport, trad and sport/trad climbs in the 5.9 to 5.11 range. There is also a nice moderate toprope on the left side. It is a good idea to have a few QDS and a small rack for any of the climbs. Don't forget to bring the tailgate-belay-seat.
In the middle of Buena Vista, turn East off US Highway 24 onto Main Street. Go a couple of blocks and turn North onto N. Colorado Street (Chaffee County Rd. 371). After approximately 3.1 miles from Main Street and after the tunnels, you will see Bob's Rock on the East side of the road and Elephant Rock on the West side.

This is the obvious and excellent crack on the right side of Bob's Rock. The pro for the first ~15' is poor/nil because of the flaring cracks. After the small ledge, the crack is a perfect vertical to overhanging hand crack. The rock takes good pro and the fall is safe. Definitely a good place to push yourself if it is at your limit....[more] Browse More Classics in CO

This crag is closer to 75' high than 150' in the topo that Stewart Green gives in the Rock Climbing Colorado book.

SSSHHHHHH. This crag is quite good. Bolted routes that are still spicey. For me at least. Good trad line, Bobs Crack. The 10.c felt more like 11.c. 3 star. The left most route was excellent as well. Felt more like 12.a. If your in the area check it out. Also visit Cafe Dawn in Salida, nice hang.
