Showing off Johns almighty poop tube on the top of El Cap, after climbing the Nose.

Can someone tell me how the climbing temps would be in Black Velvet Canyon this time of year (sun/shade)?

Thanks

Hiking some 5.fun in Squish.

If there's anyplace you can climb in the canyons this time of year, its in Black Velvet. Temps will be warm, but the BV Wall goes into the shade in the pm and its tolerable (barely, imho) for moderate climbing.

The right side of Whiskey Peak (Wholesome, Triassic) get morning shade, pm sun.

Any sun exposure would be oppressively hot- best to avoid it at all costs.
