Description

Bikini Bottom is the high tidal basin that lies uphill and to the west of the Blowhole. When approaching the Blowhole, Bikini Bottom is on the left in the elevated basin that receives much of the spray from the plume of saltwater created by the Blowhole. Bikini Bottom is a relatively level circular area that is roughly 70 yards in diameter. The basin is surrounded by steep craggy lava flows on all sides save the east side which is open to the Blowhole.

Getting There

Hike north down the trail and gulley from the parking area. Just before the Blowhole, with the Anvil on the right, traverse left following the plume of spray from the Blowhole and up into the Bikini Bottom.
