Big Time Trip... But Where!?!

Hey everyone, I'm planning on a climbing based trip November (2011) to March or June (2012), but I wanted some input and suggestions on where to go!

I'll have about 4-6 months to travel and climb. I climb moderate sport (5.7-5.11+), easier trad (5.4-5.9), and love getting on multi-pitch climbs (I haven't done any aid climbing yet though, so no big walls). My climbing partner climbs about the same. I would love to go somewhere that I don't speak the language, someplace that feels different than the United States, and somewhere that is cheap once you get there.

So the question is... Where Should We Go??

My thoughts so far are...
1) New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia
2) South America (but where?)
3) South Eastern Europe (?)

So, MP, What do you think? Any input on those places or suggestions of your own are greatly appreciated!

El Potrero Chico, Mexico, has everything you're looking for.

Long bolted routes up to 23 pitches, cheap camping, cheap food, cheap beer, foreign culture, perfect weather, lots of adventurous, single, female climbers looking for action.

Man you can't go wrong with South America! You've got great high altitude activity in Huaraz, Peru: mountainproject.com/v/inter…

. As well as awesome sport climbing: mountainproject.com/v/inter….

EDIT: The dry season in Peru runs from mid May through early august.

Awesome moderate alpine trad in Argentina: mountainproject.com/v/inter…

Then you've got the big daddy Patagonia! mountainproject.com/v/inter…

Not to mention the exchange rate is wayyy better than the Euro which is going for like 1.41 on the dollar. When I was in Peru this summer it was more like 0.33 on the dollar! Have fun, and try to do more cultural activities than you plan!

Southern cone is a good option at that time of year. If you get your trad game up to feeling comfortable on .10's, even better. I'd use Bariloche as a starting point, then if you're feeling good think about El Chalten. Lots of good stuff on the Chilean side as well...

Enjoy yourself, sounds like it's going to be a great time, wherever you end up.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
