Hey all. I am hoping to buy a little more trad gear and an Arcteryx Alpha FL jacket soon - are there any big "storewide" sales online coming up like July 4th or something?

EMS and mountaingear both have sales going on now.

You should support your local climbing shop(s) and stay away from the corporate giants such as REI and others.

Depending on your definition of big sale. C4s are usually on sale around 20-25% during holidays (july 4th and back to school). Arcteryx stuff usually don't go on sale until end of the season. Some stores have coupon for 20% that might work with Arcteryx stuff.

Any sales coming up that could be used on approach/trail running shoes?

I really need a pair as my guide tennies are trashed, but can't really afford all these $100+ pairs.

I got the shoes I have now on a 50% off sale on clearance items on 5.10's website and would love another deal like that.

This can be kind of tough in areas of the country where the corporate giants have already caused the local gear shops to close.

The irony.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
