Yeah. Photo Peter B

Description

From the right on a pedestal climb up the beautiful slab. Amazing and exposed climbing over a terrible landing. The crux is at the top. Could be easier but don't want to sandbag this one. I checked it out on a rope first.

Location

Look up from the North Shore beach on the west bluff and a large boulder with a red face overlooks the beach about 200 feet up the hill. That is it.

Protection

Don't fall. I don't think it would be safe with 10 pads.

The sweet landing. Wouldn't be good to pitch off the top of this one!

This is a beautiful slab climb. Easier than it looks, but you want to avoid falling.

I would say R/X but that's not an option.

I think if you fell (as unlikely as that would be) it would be 3 months before you could walk again, if you ever could.

Amazing problem.

Remo is sandbagging the safety thing here. It really comes down to how many pads you have / if you're lucky enough to hit them. If you have insufficient pads or you miss, Eggert is right, you could be seriously, seriously messed up.

I would not take this one lightly.

That being said, for those who can comfortably climb this thing: the boulder is big, the holds unique, the movement interesting, and the position incredible.

It deserves to be climbed.
