I'm searching for some information on 4th and easy 5th class summit options within 3 hours of SC to take my 4 year old on. She regularly climbs 5.3-5.4 with some slight rope tension

I've considered the prow in linville gorge but last year I guided a group that had a 7 year old up it and it was mentally a lot for him. (Granted my youngun climbs a lot more than he had)

Does anyone have any good advice on route choices?

I don't need advice on how/what full body harness to use/ or how closely to tie her in to her mom

Thanks ever so much for any help given!!!

What about Jim Dandy to the summit of table rock? Or even just the hike to the top. Cool views, summit feel. Less commitment than the prow or something in the gorge proper.

That's a good thought thanks

Anyone else?

The ridge line hike on Grandfather Mountain. Only do part of it, the whole thing would be a long day for a child

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
