I "get" to be in Anaheim all week so I want to climb some plastic, preferably routes, hopefully on lead. Which gym should I go to? I wish there was a gym review section on one of these climbing sites.
Is Hangar 18 in LBC the best in the "area"?

Never been to Hanger 18, but I believe the closest to anaheim would be Rock City, a great gym with more bouldering than top roping. I'm not sure if they have lead climbing. Rockreation in Costa Mesa has awesome lead climbing, it'll be a little bit farther for you but well worth it if you are set on getting some lead action. There's also the riverside quarry, which is pretty much an outdoor gym, not too far from Anaheim.

I would suggest Rockreation in Costa Mesa for some ropes. Good topropes, awesome lead routes. If you want to travel a little more, Hangar 18 in Riverside is awesome for topropes and lead routes. There are even two auto belays if you can't get someone to belay you. Hangar 18 in LBC is OK if you end up in that area. The rope routes are short as well as their lead routes.
Absolutely don't, DON'T DON'T go to Rock City in Anaheim. It's a bouldering gym and they have lost touch with the true climber. Seems like they are catering to the birthday party and don't care about real climbers. Plus their topropes and lead climbing are a joke too. They don't change their routes for months. Sad place.
