Hey Everyone,

I just moved here from MN and I'm looking for some of the most awesome places to boulder (along with pertinent locations, web information and guide books for bouldering). I have a 4runner made for putting miles on, two decent crash pads and a lot of room for new friends.

Let me know if anyone wants a tag-a-long bouldering partner or if you guys/gals have some good information.

Thanks!

Carter lake is my favorite. However it is pretty hot this time of year, so go very early in the morning.

Fort collins in general has the best bouldering in the state probably. Horsetooth is absolutely classic and is the birthplace of bouldering in the US, with many many classic John Gill lines and tons more from the likes of Craig Lubben and others. You also have the 420s if you are ok driving up the poudre.

Summer time in the alpine. Evans area a,b,and D, lincoln lake(road closed last i heard) and the abyss (road closed last i heard) ;RMNP chaos and upper chaos, emerald lake; Guanella pass; Independence pass. That will last you till the winter. I would sugest Colorado alpine bouldering by jamie emerson, and Front range bouldering by Phillip Benningfield. Get used to the hiking and be wary of thunderstorms in the afternoon. As far as close to Denver/ Boulder after work non full day spots I like Three sisters, Clear Creek, Eldo, and Morrison Dark side

Good luck, Kevin
