Hi all I am considering a book project and want to make a big list of the best 50 climbs in the state. Would love to get some user feeeback - sport, trad, any style, any number of pitches. What are your top 10 routes? Nathan Welton

Alright... who the hell dug up Indian Creek and transplanted it to Colorado? Talk about lack of ethics...

Wunchs Dihederal - Platte
Childhoods End - Platte
Bullet the Blue Sky - Penitente
Reptile - Platte
Left Handed Jew - Platte
Gym Arete - Shelf
Direct Route - First Flatiron
Naked Edge - Eldo

I was going to make a joke about all the climbing in Wyoming and Utah, but I see somebody beat me to it.

only 50??

I've lived here for 11 months and even I can attest to the fact that this state is CHOCK FULL of awesome climbing. No way you can narrow this all down to only 50.

Greg, 9 times out of 10 you're posts are great. You, however, have just set a new standard by calling yourself out. Awesome.

Kind of have to agree w/ Matt. Maybe someone should put out some propaganda promoting some of the less obvious alright places to keep the crowds away from the true hidden gems.

Internet art. Never has the chasm separating id and super-ego been bridged so succinctly.
The reflexive self-awareness and ironic use of capitalization (as if one is the asshole, as opposed to being merely an asshole), causes me to pause and reflect that it is almost ice climbing season in Canada.

I will close the circle with a quote from a wise man who posses both the courage and the Ouroboros-esque sense of mirth requisite to expose the brute dichotomy that is the internet forum: "Nobody asked for your opinion... Asshole." ;)
