Does anybody have any ideas of routes to take a complete beginner on (and they might have fun)?
this has nothing to do with the topic, I just thin...

Something in the pit "le petit verdon" might be suitable, or if you can make it down to phoenix, the monk on camelback, or a more adventurous weevers needle ascent would be perfect for a beginner. also now ould be the best time of year to do weavers out in the superstitions (just west of phoenix) stropsa

@stropsa The monk in camelback was my favorite to take beginners on. But Camelback is closed right now. They're renovating the parking lot. Ryan S.

Your question may be a bit vague (i.e., do you want single pitch, multi-pitch, sport, trad?). And, does driving distance influence your decision? David Arthur Sampson

let me try to be more specific, things in the sedona/flag area which are sooooo easy that a healthy human with 0 climbing experience would probably make it. 2 pitches could be ok. 1 maybe better. I'm thinking of Tisha, the easy route. Anyone done it? Thx for all the ideas. I realize punphouse is for summer, just curious what folks are talking about Hardhat n Hexes

For a complete beginner (I'm assuming sport?) I would go to the pit. If your looking to climb in the next few weeks/month here that would be your best beginner bet. Jacks is fairly close and is like an outdoor gym, a good spot if your willing to make the 1 and half hour drive.
For some beginner trad, check out queen Vic's and paradise sporks ( located down the canyon from the pit!) depending on snow...
Have fun!!

I would also through in Streaker spire. 5.7, 2ish pitches (if you don't count the roped 4th class traverse) and a great summit. Approach is pretty mellow as well. Also did anybody recommend the overlook yet? Short approach, tons of great moderates and very topropable. W.S.
