The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
Ben Scabbyface goes up the Buttress just right of Weo. The rock is not all that good, and neither is the protection. Up near the top, there is a FP and a bolt. Not really a recommended climb, but a climb non-the-less. This climb never made it into Randy's Joshua Tree West Guide;...probably a good thing...
