Jen amidst the crux of Behind The Tree.

Description

Start on the north side of the buttress and climb up the path of least resistance. The crux is up high in the dihedral/crack system before topping out. A more direct line for the first half may offer better and more challenging climbing, but fewer cracks to protect the moves. The tree on Behind The Tree is no longer there.

Location

The farthest north route on Yellow Lichen.

Protection

Standard TR set up. Long slings are helpful. Large hexes/cams may be useful.

Leading is possible with a selection of protection from small gear up to a 3 or 4 inch cam for the crux section (consider using passive pro if you think a fall on a cam would pry off the giant piece of rock.)

Leading it to set up a TR. If you TR it you will probably climb a couple feet left of here. I went over here because there were cracks.
