Beginner needs a coach! *boildering only* (for now)

Hello everyone!

I've been bouldering for about 2 months now at the gym and I absolutely love it. I'm dabbling in V1-2's. My boyfriend is starting to get burnt out and does not want to come with me anymore. I don't mind going by myself but I benefit the most with a partner!

I currently live in Irvine, Ca. Is there anyone near me who can coach me and help me improve? Let me know! If you have tips and tricks to improve my skill level, please feel free to reply.

Thanks!
-Kristiane

Does your gym not have a partner finder? if not talk with the management and see if they can put one together. You will be surprised at how many people are in the same boat.

Is your BF the jealous type? Cause he would be jealous. Of me.

So I will give your some internet advice alternately:

Instead of a coach bring a boombox to create some boutique electronic ambiance at the boulders, and tell someone where you're going so if you crack your skull in the woods they'll be able to find your body before something else does.

I think I see where this is going...
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
