| Christian: I'd bet that's Bear Slabs. It doesn't look like it's 5 mins from the road. | FLAG |

I was down in AZ. last year south of tucson, in a little town called Green Valley. while I was there I couldn't help but notice the fairly large rock just E.S.E. of there. I looked it up in M.P. when I got home and found it to have a 5.6 on it. I would like to give it a closer look someday. Wow; what a beautiful piece of rock! Is it Elephant head? I'm not really sure since Green Valley seemed to be about 5-7 miles from it. How about some bolts on that? Wow! yeah i'm pretty sure that's elephant you're talking about. supposed to be some fun semi-adventure climbing.

I'll come help as soon as I get my unemployment check and can afford to buy gas :-( On a more serious note, if this isn't Bear Slabs, then what is? Is there more than one crag directly across from Green Slabs? haha i see someone's let himself be sucked into a certain political thread. ;) | FLAG |

| Sounds like a great Idea. If your serious about it being a beginner crag then make it so. Dont bolt up gear placements so beginners can learn to place gear. Also if there are natural anchors at the top dont put lowering chains and keep it real so people can learn to build anchors too. All important aspects of climbing. It seems lots of the easy crags are all sported up so people dont have to learn how to climb. It would be nice to have places that folks can learn how to really climb. I saw the place your talking about. I was at the green slabs last weekend playing around. Needs to be more places like that. Its a great place to learn how to climb. Do it in style and do it with respect.Folks need to learn somewhere. Its better then the gym any day.You all have a great day. | FLAG |

Don't even get me started on the names, I actually think that's part of the reason people don't climb there, they don't want to tick those names (: | FLAG |
