Are there any actual routes, or is it more of a place for screwing around and looking at the ocean?

I hear Salt Island (off Good Harbor) has some routes on it. You can wade out there at low tide but I've never done it.

There is better bouldering on Cape Ann. If you aren't familiar with it, check out the MP site for Cape Ann. I suspect there is more hidden out there in Gloucester awaiting write-ups.
