DescriptionBarrier Bluffs on Barrier Mountain hosts a number of sport and trad climbs on good rock. A short 15 minute approach, excellent rock, and an abundance of routes means this area can be crowded (by Rockies standards) on the weekends. Getting ThereFrom the TransCanada highway, head south on highway 40 (Kananaskis highway) towards Barrier lake (well marked). Park in the well-worn ditch pullout on the East side of the road just south of the lake. Hike uphill on the very abvious climbers trail, staying just left of the drainage when possible. Follow the trail uphill for 15 minutes to the cliff walls. Most climbs are uphill right when the cliff wall is reached.
