Description Suggest change

This is the smaller, dome shaped sort of rock, below and to the left of the Castle. We climbed this because we figured we might as well rock climb as much as possible, as opposed to just doing the heinous approach all the way to the Castle. The routes are sort of slabby, but on good rock, and it's a nice bonus, if you think you'll have good weather and enough time to then climb one of the classics on the Castle. From the top of Baron's Estate, it's still a little ways to the castle, but it puts you right at the base of the Throneroom when approaching from this direction. The name of the formation is taken from Peter Hubble's guide book.

Getting There Suggest change

From Lake Wellington, look up, and slog your way up and left to reach the base. Definitely a pleasure to come back down and swim in the lake and drink beer. See the Castle for additional details on Lake Wellington, as this is a fee area.
