Description Suggest change

Idyllic hollow in the forest with mostly flat pine needle landings. One of the oldest developed areas in the Icicle, it was primarily filled with classic, sometimes tall, and sometimes sandbag, v2 and under boulders. Nowadays, it also houses some harder boulders with unusual movement that took a good long time to be completed. Don't miss: The big warm up slabs on the back of Fun House Stairway. The Rail, Fun House Stairway (and all the variations you can make up on this wall), the Hesitator (and variations on this boulder), Tree Crack, Rainbow, Ouchies (which has been buffed down to a nice and less painful smoothness) and the very neato Mad Bush.

There's also a few really fun boulders downhill, by the river, including the Fin.

Fun place to picnic, chill and talk, or to bring kids. As always, please clean up after yourself.

Getting There Suggest change

Parking as for Forestland is probably easiest. At 5.7 miles from the 76 station, look for a small dirt road on the right, cutting uphill, and then right.
The well-worn trail exits the parking lot on the south side of the lot, roughly equidistant from the southeast and southwest corners.
