No vehicle access, but open to foot traffic MORE INFO >>>
Washington Climbers Coalition's permittee status under the landowner's easement with Washington State DNR has been revoked due to liability concerns and increased traffic. Vehicular access beyond the gate is currently not allowed. Gold Bar is still open to foot traffic. WCC and Access Fund are actively working with the landowner and DNR to find a solution. Stay posted at www.washingtonclimbers.org.
This information is a public crowdsourcing effort between the Access Fund,
and Mountain Project. You should confirm closures, restrictions, and/or related dates.

Keeping climbing areas open and conserving the climbing environment

Description In the center of the boulder a long crimper rail leads up and right. Start matched on the rail and climb up, trying your best not to break the wafer (you'll know it when you grab it). Technical and strenuous.
Location Head about 200 feet uphill from Stinkin' Slopers, trending slightly west. Balance of Power sits in a sunny talus field just uphill from a large overhanging wall.
Protection The landing seems nasty at first but cleans up nicely with two or more pads.
