This small island country is in the Persian Gulf adjacent to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Of some interest to climbers is at least one artificial climbing wall and the high point of the country.

One climbing wall is located within the US Navy base in the Juffair area of the capitol city of Manama.

The high point of the country, Jabal ad Dukhan, is about 440 feet in elevation and located about 40 minutes south of Manama.

Getting There

Flights are available into the capital city of Manama (airport code BAH) or it's possible to drive across a causeway from Saudi Arabia.
