I am heading to Austin for a wedding today, and have time to kill tomorrow. The wedding is is NW of Austin, but I would love to put my shoes on and have a little fun tomorrow morning.

Anyplace I should check out, andyplace I can go?

Any help is much appreciated.

The Greenbelt and McKinney Falls are great areas for bouldering. Check out the book Austin Rock by Sean O'Grady. You should be able to find it at REI. AGParker

There's a Texas Limestone Bouldering guide and a brand new route guide out by John Hogge. Both should be available locally at REI or Backwoods. mattm

Bull Creek is a quick hit of limestone pocket bouldering. It also was the first municiple recognized climbing park in the Southern United States. Off loop 360 in north Austin. 100 yards from your car, Parks Department installed pee gravel at the base of the slabs/ boulders... Ranges up to v7? James Crump
