Hey Eric & David,

How is the guide book coming along? I am ready to use it. Spring fever has hit.

We are getting close! It has turned into two books, BTW. One for the Greater Flagstaff area and one for Sedona. It's looking like June or July now...
Thanks for asking - we're on it!

Are they going to be another Sharp End book?

Will this guide include Isolation Canyon?

They are being self-published on Amazon, much like the way the new Jacks Canyon book was.

I think it will have a brief outline of the area and a few route topos.

Last I heard Manny was doing a guide book for all of the Rim Country.
Since he made Isolation what it is. I am sure it will be in his book.

Hey, everyone! Just saw this.

We are getting close. Down to submitting lists of topos and route descriptions that are missing to David, then update his information.

If we can get the whole shebang to out pagemaker person in two weeks, we hope the book will be out in a month or so after she gets it. So mid-November?

Sorry it is taking so long - it has been a daunting task. 565 routes in 51 different areas, just for Sedona.

Price-wise, we have no idea until we find out how many pages and what size it is going to need to be. We are hoping for a 6" X 9" standard guidebook size.

The iBook with the completed guidebook went out today to our Pagemaker guru - the elephant has left the building!

I can't wait! When and where are we going to be able to get some of the first copies?

We will probably have a book release party at the Vertical Relief climbing gym in Flagstaff. I will keep everyone posted as to the timeframe as it evolves.

This is a Sedona guide, not a Flagstaff guide.

The question you ask did not come up in the process. David has climbed most of them.

Update: It looks like a rough draft will be perused this Christmas, maybe a January release date? Here's hoping!

Guidebook release party at Vertical Relief in Flagstaff!

MEH

We shipped the thing off to our page-maker person just before Christmas.

I have seen 15 pages since then, and they look good!

Soon, I hope - but it is out of my hands at this point.

We are looking at gettng the proof real soon, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
