What is the point of posting this area with almost no information? It clutters up the main Arizona page for no use. Might as well add Papago and every other mound of rock dust in the state.

A bouldering contest was held on the east end in '88 I think. Mike Cook lived at a house in the park and Cook/Insley/hill/sands etc did some routes on "the con-dome" etc- there is a little info to disseminate...granted, so far ctk has added squat.

I'm still sort of admining...just not being all that public. if the public outcry is significant enough I can delete the area. Not sure why it's so annoying that it's there for the moment.

As far as this area goes, if someone submits the area, then it might just spur someone else to get involved and enter the route information, so I'd recommend leaving it in the database.

The only sort of climbing "area" around South Mountain is Teddy Bear Wall, although there are likely other small climbs here and there. There are folks on here with some info on the routes there and maybe if they have some time, they will enter up some more information. In addition, as Rick pointed out, there is some bouldering as well, and maybe someone will enter some info about that as well.

When I get back to Arizona at the end of the week I'll try to go check out the teddy bear area and at least put up a couple of photos.
