Description

The Spread Flake is the right facing corner next to the Baxter Crack.

Climb the corner using jams, stems, and face holds to a large tree at the clif top. Keep your eyes open for stem options on the way up.

Location

Located about 50 yards left (north) of the Deception Cracks, the Spread Flake climbs a large right facing corner.

Protection

Half Set Stoppers
1 set TCUs
.5 to #2 Camalot

Large Tree to anchor onto at top of route.

This route is typically TRed. The gear is "there" but can be tricky to place and tends to take up the best jams and holds.

Will- Which half of stoppers (it says "half set" in the route description)?

Aimee,

Every other stopper should work fine, but I wouldn't lead this thing. For the most part you have to choose between gear and holds... Just TR it after climbing the Baxter Crack, which is much better anyway.
