Description
The Lost Bandana Area is probably the most popular spot to climb on Little Granite Mountain. For the purposes of this database, I'm including Lost Bandana Wall, The Cone, and Dueling Banjos in this section.
All the routes in this area, except for Dueling Banjos, are south facing and the area gets bathed in sun, so it's good for those winter days when everything else is cold. Conversely, you don't want to be here when you're wondering if it's too hot to climb or not.
The highlights of the area are the ever-challenging Spectrum (5.7) and the nice crystal and edge pulling of LAWless and Free (5.9+) just to it's right.
Getting There
Take the first turnoff of 136th street onto the dirt road that passes along the south side of Little Granite Mountain. Depending on your clearance, you can either park to the southeast and hike in over a pass, or continue on and hike in to the area from the south or southwest, depending on where you park. Bring your State Land Trust permit.
