Description 

The Southern Mountain includes the cliffs around Arietta, a small town on Route 10. There are a number of crags here, each with its own distinct feel. included are the Lost Crags (McMartin, Lost Hunters, Lost T), Good Luck Lake, Otter Lake, and Pinnacle Mountain. Bouldering areas include Nine Corners Lake and Pinnacle Pullout. Also included are the cliffs around Lake Pleasant and Piseco Lake.

Getting There 

The crags are located along the Route 10 corridor near Caroga Lake and Arietta.

House of Cards 5.13a 7c+ 29 IX+ 29 E6 6c  NY : Adirondacks : ... : Good Luck Mountain
Extremely continuous and demanding climbing up an orange, overhanging corner. The first completely trad 5.13 in the Adirondacks. A classic if you can climb at this grade. Though I have neither the skills nor the cojones to climb this route, it appears nearly featureless above the small ledge 15' from the start. It is one of those routes that gains its high grade not from steepness, but from the fact that it is climbed almost entirely by slapping and smearing on an overhanging corner.
