Description Suggest change

A valley found on the North Route. Shady, and pleasant. Most of the granite in this sector is solid and high quality. There is some chossy, peanut butter. A lot of the landings are mediocre to sketch, so try to bring a few pads. Perhaps half of the problems here are still waiting to be done. From what I can tell, there are still many projects harder than V9, and several under V8 that we could not finish. Sadly, the summer is very hot and wet, and when we were developing the area, we faced brutal conditions. Beware, many problems lie in a wash that runs down the canyon, and repeated rains can form large pools beneath many problems. There are some amazing looking lines that could be in the V-teens.

Getting There Suggest change

Hike Ten minutes up the North Route. About 50 feet after the Tiger Skin Boulder, there is another older trail with older stone steps, and many carved into boulders, that breaks off left where the North Route take a 90 degree right-hand turn up more steps. You can see many large boulders as soon as you turn left. When you see a structure that is part of the Daoist temple on the right side of the trail, the Frankencave is just off the to the left and up a little wash about 30 feet.)
