Details
The entire Castle Rock Coromandel area has been closed for rock climbing until further notice. Hopefully access will be restored in the future. Please post here if you have any updates on access.
Description
One of the longest rock routes in the north island. Fully Bolted.
Pitch 1 - 20
Technical climbing up the face
Pitch 2 - 19
More positive holds than pitch 1
Pitch 3 - 16
An interesting traverse pitch. Keep heading right and up. Make sure you extend your clips to reduce rope drag. Finish on small ledge
Pitch 4 - 21
Probably the hardest pitch of the climb. Steep and sustained
Pitch 5 - 19
Easy ground to the top (trending right)
