I was at the BD store yesterday, they certainly look nice. A smaller head than the aliens. I wonder if they sit as nicely in granite

Well they have a slightly greater range than the Aliens and way more than the Mastercams. So they will perform slightly better than the Aliens. Got a set a few weeks ago and placed them a lot so far.

All cams have their sweat spot and if you fit that into the right size crack them it's better than any other cam. The X4's have a great combination of holding power and range. That gives you versatility.

Used my offset x4's a few times this weekend while climbing some granite in Leavenworth, WA. They made some previously spicey questionable gear placements very solid. The range is great and with the flexible stem allows you to angle the cam for the best placement. So far, so good.

I used mine for two weeks in Red Rocks, absolutely love them. The anodized cams make it easy to know which side is smaller/larger, making for faster placements. If you're into offsets, these are worth the $$ for sure.

used mine for the first time yesterday. Just happened to find a location that wouldn't work with anything else. They're as good as the X4s so try some and figure out for yourself it you like them.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
