Hey guys found a good deal on a patagonia troposphere hardshell and have been looking for a good all around rain jacket. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find many reviews on it.I was hoping to get some input before I pull the trigger.

Is "experience" really too long of a word to write out?

I was think Troposphere was some program on a windows XP computer...

I just bought this jacket two days ago with the intent of using it for skiing, ice climbing, and spring mountaineering. Got a great deal on it as well, but unfortunately can't report on it's performance yet!

I up and decided to go ahead and get one as well. I just hope it's as breathable as i'm expecting.

I doubt it's very breathable at all, given it's a hard-shell. Even if it breathes better than Gore-Tex, I still am not putting faith in it being that breathable! Regardless, at 50% off, I still thought it was a great deal for a hardshell, given my last one was stolen from me, and just like having one around in the bottom of the pack. The Troposhpere is pretty light.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
