I was thinking of doing the "old east ledges route" for historical collection this weekend:

web.stanford.edu/~clint/yos…

Anyone done this route? Any comments on protection or risks on it?

Thanks!

Alex Honnold did it with Tommy Caldwell's baby on his back.

Cool, that will be fun. Do a forum search over at supertopo. I bet someone there has posted up on it.

I have always wanted to do the chimney route on the left side of the column. I forget the name, but one of those forgotten 'classics'.

Just looked in the green roper book. There are 3 listed routes there. East Side, west side, and east ledge traverse.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
