Hey I am going stir crazy over in Seattle and am wanting to go out and scope out some routes off of Icicle Creek, but with the mass amounts of snow I figure that that is probably out of the picture. But I figured that it is worth a shot to see of you can hike in with anything less than snowshoes at this point? Thanks!
I am out and about and decided to drop in and check out Icicle Creek today. Camping will be a bit of an issue, as all the areas you would normally camp are under 2 feet of snow. As for the boulders, I checked out Forest Lands and Barney's Rubble and they area well on their way to being completely dry. A few wet spots here and there. Your best bet is to climb in areas with tree cover, they all seem dry. But assuming that there is not another snow storm coming through, I would say it will be ready to go in a couple more weeks.
