Description

This obscure Flatiron is located about 200 yards south of the Royal Arch. This Flatiron is a satellite to the Amoeboid Flatiron. The east face is 200 feet long and provides an easy scramble if you are in the area. The face does have some moss and lichen, but the majority of it can be avoided. The summit is in hiking territory and abuts to the north side of the Amoeboid.

Getting There

Pass the Royal Arch on the west side and follow a faint trail due south. You will run into the Anomaly. A short scramble down a gully will put you at the base.

Featured Route For Anomaly
At the base of the anomaly. It is quite licheny. The climbing is rather sustained, and that is quite nice. The end of this climb drops you off literally right in front of the amoboid.

East Face/Anomaly 5.0  CO : Flatirons : ... : Anomaly
This "F3" east face route is about 200 feet long. Since there is really no good pro on the entire face, it is best to leave the rope behind on this one. Pick a line and head up. The lichen and moss on this route can be avoided, and the rock is generally sound in nature. This rock makes a good scrambling finish to the Royal Arch trail.
