Sweet photos RPC. What's equally as cool is the fact you were out and up with them. The Stoned Master

Screw that, you caught a picture of a WOLVERINE, that automatically qualifies as badass! And Doug, that second snake picture is amazing. What lens were you using? As in, how close did you have to get and how mean are these snakes?

Thanks. I can't view my Flickr's EXIF data on my phone but I think I was using my Canon 70-200L IS II wide open from about 8 feet away. He was really staring me down as I got closer. Generally they try to flee but will become very aggressive and bite if provoked. I could've gotten closer but I was afraid he'd quit posing for me. :)

Not a spider, btw; common name is harvestman. That's an Opilione which is also an Arachnid, but Araneae are the order of spiders.

"Another snake" is more than likely a bull snake.

Here's a good spidey for ya:

The snakes and tortoise are so cool. Makes me want a better camera. Here's a few from different trips.

Radek, I was told that it was "worse" a few weeks prior. After leech encounters in Sumatra and Madagascar, I think I will stick to the dryland excursions. fossana
