i'm a 9.5 as well, but have a pretty low volume foot. i have a pair of size 41 katanas that i find tight but comfy, though the heel is big. re: the anasazis, i demo'ed a pair once, and at 43 had a pretty snug fit. the shoe fit well, and though it was a little big in the heel, it had a gnarly slingshot rand thing going on that kept it on my foot (my katanas will slide off if i'm heel hooking hard).

definitely what Aaron said- I'm another 9.5 street shoe and I have the anasazi in 43. they fit perfect when my feet are cool but are crazy tight when I'm warm. I wish I had gone a hair bigger since they don't seem to have stretched at all.

Pete, I wear a 9.5 in most street shoes and all my Sportiva rock shoes are 40.5. I have both the Galileo and the Mocs in a 9.5 and they fit great for me. And for what it is worth, I have the Katanas as well and I am on the fifth resole. When you say your Katanas are trashed, what do you mean? The Rubber Room has done all of my resoles and also put on new velcro straps and kept them going. The way that I understand it, there are many shoes in the Anasazi line. Which shoe are you asking about..the velcro, lace-up etc.? The Galileo and the Mocs are the only Five Ten shoe that fit my foot well. The Anasazi VCS had a real sloppy heel for me. Many people say the Mocs stretch a lot and mine have a little but not as much as I was expecting. The Galileos have not stretched at all.

I've been using the Anasazi velcros for years. I wear a size 9.5 sneaker and a size 9.5 Anasazi. I have a bit of a wide foot. I once bought a pair of size 9 Anasazi and found an increase in pain and a decrease in performence. These shoes don't stretch at all, but they do get broken in. So, if you order them and the size isn't almost perfect when they arrive I would recomend returning them.

I wear 10 street shoes. 40 Katanas, 9 in Gallileos, and 8.5 in moccs, since they stretch so much. Sounds like I size my shoes a bit tighter than a lot of people here.

I sized my VCS anasazis down a size and a half. Killed my feet for quite awhile and I still can't wear them for too long but I stick wherever I put my feet. If you don't want your feet to be ugly I would suggest not sizing them that small.

I have had a lot of five-tens over the years. Go 1/2 size under, or a slight curl of your longest toe. They will stretch a little and conform to your foot and everything will be good. And five-tens come in US sizes; all that euro sizing while talking about five-tens (all over another recent thread) was just pompous. Killer super tight shoe nightmares for "performance" is just a distraction from what really holds us at our grades; which is mostly your head, followed by technique, contact strength, lats, abs, adrenaline, on so on. Shoe size is pretty far down there, unless you blow it and get yourself a pair of flippers.
