Anasazi sizing VCS vs blanco

Hey all,
Anyone know how the VCSs size compared with blancos or verdes?
thanks for any info !

I wear the VCS outside and the Blancos in the gym. Both 10.5. The VCS feel larger, particularly wider in the toe box, than the Blancos.

I actually just ordered a few sizes in the VCS (w/onyxx), verde (w/onyxx), blanco (w/c4)....and galileo. After reading all of the sizing posts, etc, I just couldn't get a good feeling for how each would fit my feet or ultimately feel while on. Once I get the shoes and try them all on, I can report back with some info that may help you make a decision.

I wear all anasazi in 9, my street size is 9.5.

But I found out during a roof problem that my VCS are actually too loose. The heel popped out. Then on various climbs later I have decided that they are no longer the correct fit (they have been resoled once though).

Then I found out I can go to 8.5 in the blue VCS, new style. So that's what I'll buy next time.

I have the blanco, verde, and new pink all in size 9. The pink feels comfy, but probably can go another quarter size down, but too bad they don't have that.

I have never owned a blanco but because they were discontinued I picked up a pair. They hurt at size 9 brand new, and so does the verde. But I had a size 9 verde that felt so good at size 9, so they do become more comfortable.

Got the shoes today...here are my thoughts.

I wear a 9.5 street shoe and my left foot is slightly (1/2 size) larger than my right and both are on the wider side. I currently own the anasazi hi-tops in size 8.5, which fit perfect on my right foot but can get painful on my left foot on a cold day. Obviously all of my observations are just that, I won't be doing more than just trying them on until I decide which to keep.

Blancos: v2, c4 rubber - size 8.5

• These are noticeably the tightest fitting shoe of them all (obviously, a 9 would fit better, but I still feel they would be narrower than the verdes).
• I think they are the narrowest of the 4 pairs I have.
• I would not be able to wear these on my left foot and even the right foot is uncomfortably tight.
• If they stretch a half size, I think they would be OK, but wouldn't fit perfect.
• Just by handling the shoes, the stiffness is similar to the galileos.

Verdes: onyxx rubber - size 9

• I think I could probably use an 8.5 in these.
• Don't feel as narrow as the blancos and the toe box has more room.
• About the same stiffness as the VCS.
• I think these could be a great all day shoe while still being a performance shoe.

Galileos: onyxx rubber - size 8.5

• This 8.5 seems to fit in between the VCS 8.5 and 9. If you're in between those 2 sizes in VCS, I think these would be perfect.
• Great stiffness, I think it feels stiffer than the VCS low top.
• One major difference that the anasazis (VC and Lace) is the heel. It is much less aggressive and there is zero dead space like I have in the anasazis. This also may be because the rubber on the heel goes up higher, maybe a half inch, so this also makes any dead space negligible.
• I'm actually still wearing these as I type this up, they fit perfectly out of the box. Maybe they'll loosen up a bit, but hopefully not much.

VCS low-top: 2012 model, onyxx rubber - size 8.5

• These fit almost exactly like the hi-tops (which is probably to be expected). I will say the left feels a little larger than the hi-top 8.5 left.
• I think they fall in line with the verdes for stiffness, but not as stiff as the galileos.
• Compared to the galileo, these are a tad narrower.

Conclusion
Obviously this info is from handling and trying the shoes on, but not using them on the rock (other than the vcs hi-tops). I told myself I'd only keep 2 pairs at most and I think the first choice is easy, I'll be keeping the galileo. It seems to have all of the things I like about the anasazi VCS, but with a better heel, little bit wider fit, and a little more stiffness.

I'm still deciding on the 2nd pair to keep, although I do know it will not be the blancos. They just didn't fit my feet, but I do think they'd be great if you have feet on the narrow side. Initially, I was going to keep a pair of velcros and a pair of laced...but the decision between the verdes and the VCS is harder than I thought it would be. I'm even entertaining the idea of just getting another pair of galileos...they fit my foot that well.

Bottom line for laces: Blancos seem narrow and stiff, verdes are wider and less stiff than blancos (again, I feel this would hold true even if I had the same size in both).

Bottom line for velcro: Galileo seem to be a stiffer, wider version of the anasazi VCS, with a less aggressive heel.

Maybe after I decide and get some time on rock with them, I'll update thoughts on the galileo and whichever other one I choose. Anyway, I hope that helps some....when I was looking for specific info on these 4 shoes, it was pretty sparse.

I have the same street shoe size with the exception that my right foot is larger than my left. I have blanco and verde in size 9 and I like you said I could probably go to 8.5 with the verdes, but that would be too much pain during the break-in process.

8.5 VCS from now on for me.

Are they as stiff as the blancos?

Without having actually climbed on them, I'd say they are. They are definitely stiffer than the vcs.
