Description
The American Outlaw Boulders consists of 3 boulders mainly. The boulders are road side and access is within a 2 minute walk. These " Great " problems were hidden due to facing North. The road drives right by the backside of them and they look like choss. Luke Kretchmar discovered the present day boulders. The Rock quality is for the most part really good and has beautiful features expect gym like climbing on either powerful moves, small crimps and non-existent slopers. A few projects remain open in the area for the next level climber.

Getting There
Head east out of Custer on highway 16A for about 2 miles. When you start to see Calamity Peak (huge rock formation) to your left, you're almost there. When you are about parallel with this formation on highway 16A, you should see a road sign for AMERICAN CENTER ROAD; turn left onto this road. After a short distance (~.3mi), there will be a small intersection that you will take a left turn at.Stay on this road for just over a mile (1.1mi), around a couple of curves and houses. When you get to the intersection between American Center Road and Outlaw Ranch Road, you will see a sign to your right for Outlaw Ranch. Turn right here and park immediately. The boulders are up and to your left on the hill; there is a slight path going up to them, but nothing established. Please respect this area.
