American Alpine Club Announces Grant Recipients

The AAC awards over $50,000 a year to climbers—amateur and professional—for alpine conservation and research projects as well as climbing around the world. Read more on the Club's Grant's page: americanalpineclub.org/grants

Today, the AAC is proud to announce this year's McNeill-Nott Award and Lyman Spitzer Cutting Edge Award recipients:

The Lyman Spitzer Cutting Edge Award, the Club's most prestigious, awards small, light-weight teams attempting routes and peaks that push the envelope of climbing. The McNeill-Nott Award, founded by the AAC and Mountain Hardwear after the untimely deaths of Sue Nott and Karen McNeill on Alaska's Mt. Foraker, awards teams with objectives that are exploratory and adventuresome. Technical difficulty of the routes attempted is not weighed strongly in the selection process.
