Description Yet another of Joshua Trees most beautiful boulder problems, Alexandria, which follows a crescent shaped Aplite dike of superb quality, and ascends a dead vertical face that rises 23 ft., climbing nearly 20 ft. of absolutely perfect edges. Jump start to a 1 inch deep rail that is about 9ft. up, above a cave-like area. Angle around left and up on immaculate tile smooth rails, up to a royal crown of Jugs. The start has also been done static, pulling off razor thin crimps, done this way it is V9. This problem, as well as the others on this boulder were all FA'd ground up, no pre-inspection, no pre-cleaning.
Protection May need several pads to reach start.

| There is a cool picture of this problem in either R&I or Climbing Mag that I saw this month. Looks like a really nice problem. Looked for it 2x but still have not found it! I guess I need a GPS |

| this problem is without a doubt the best v7 in josh. The long hike only makes the problem that much more rewarding. There is a cheater stone stack about 3 feet tall. Reach high to terrible crimps and campus and match on crimps just as terrible. Horrible high right foot, reach left to small shrap crimp, right foot up to start hold and reach 4 feet to jug. When they say sweet jugs on the top out, they mean it!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo GOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. Go do this problem, and find my lost guidebook... best BP i have done in josh with the exception of fote-Hog. |
