Description
The alcove is just the main marker, this area also includes the testpiece Premature Egg Baby (V8) and the surrounding boulders. There is a great amount of variety to be had in this area, but most of the climbing falls in the easy to moderate range.
Getting There
Follow the main trail past the turnoff for Morning Glory. The trail turns downhill. As you follow it, there are several branching trails that lead to the ocean (left). The first large one, which leads to a corridor with a tree in it is the access to Premature Egg Baby. To reach the Alcove proper, take the next trail left (you walk on top of a fallen log) for 30-40 feet. You will pass a large overhang on your left. Continue past the overhang and squeeze between two boulders.
