Advice on areas to check out

I'm going to be visiting Vegas end of October with some buddies and we are looking to do a climbing day (2 if I can talk them into it). Looking for advice on what would be a good area to hit for most of a day where 4 people can get a decent amount done with 1 rope and minimal gear (flying as light as possible)

We'll be looking to do sport and stay in the 5.7 to low 5.10 range. Any recommendations for the best area with easy access that might have a few really good lines that will meet our needs?

Civilization Crag seems to meet your needs.

Black Corridor (morning till 11 and afternoon 2-8pm) and Wake up Wall (after 2pm there is shade).

Also in the same vicinity (First Pullout) you might consider
Dante's Wall
Panty Wall

Personally, I rather dislike the Black Corridor....
often crowded
stench (pee, sweat, patchouli, and some others that defy description)
crowds
a little bit of the gym transported outside

+1 For Civilization Crag , on that side of the park you can also tag on Dantes Wall and Jessicas Wall .....both nice walls , I personally think Dantes is really scenic. None are featured in the local guide books yet (at least I don't think) but the info on MP is solid. Jessicans and Dantes are about 10-15 minutes (depending on the speed you move at)out past civilization.

On the flip side of the first pullout within about 4-5 min of each other in a little cluster you have the Panty Wall ,which like the black corridor can be a zoo sometimes but has nice routes and as such is really popular .....Amusement Park (A bunch of short but fun 5.7s), The Hamlet which has a little of everything and The Slab which also isn't super remarkable but worth it just to stack on routes for the trip or warm up.

Depending on the actual days of the week your climbing that second clump of areas ( The Panty Wall and the Hamlet especially) can get some pretty big traffic (weekends).

You can sometimes get lucky and catch Civilization to yourself on weekends , you can see it pretty easily from the first pull out parking lot and you can see people out there most days. I'm unsure of the amount of traffic Jessicas and Dantes see but the 3-4 times Ive been out to both Ive only seen two other people climbing I think they are a little under the radar which is a shame cause they are great spots.

Enjoy your trip.
