| Bump. Hope the guy is OK. Always curious about specifics of accidents that happen on the home turf as well... | FLAG |

| Since nobody has given up any concrete info, here is what I've pieced together... Climber on the standard route, skips first belay and sets at the smaller ledge higher up. Weights anchor, anchor fails, belayer cannot stop fall... ground falls ensues. This is probably fourth hand information at this point. Any clarification would be appreciated. | FLAG |

| Jeez! If that's the case, sounds gnarly. And like it would be a lot bigger than the 30' groundfall reported in the news article... I have not heard anything else about it. Hope the man is OK. | FLAG |

| I just talked to somebody that seemed to know a little more about this accident. Climber was on Tigger, fell at the crux, belayer did not catch the fall. He wasn't sure if gear failed or if the belayer just failed to catch the fall. | FLAG |

| Interesting. I have seen a lot of people fall on that route. It may have even been my first trad fall almost a decade ago. | FLAG |
