Hello all,

I'm looking to make a trip to the Grand Canyon for some hiking and climbing next year. I've never been there, so I was wondering how easy is it to access routes at Wailing Wall and Medivac Wall. Sounds pretty simple from the MP page, however, I don't have a good depiction of where the walls are located. Any information on parking and how far the hike is would be very helpful. Route beta is welcome as well (looking at 5.8 and below). Thank you very much!

Super easy access off the rim trail, about a 5 min walk from the bus stop. The trail is not marked but it's just past the worship site, right as the paved rim trail starts switch backing up a short hill. The traverse ledge is narrow and littered with loose rocks, can be sketchy for timid folks. A few routes can be TR'd but most need to be lead. The falcon AZ guide has pretty decent beta for the area including a map and route photos. If you can't locate that, you can ask at the backcountry office. They used to have a hand drawn topo for the area they could print out for you. Most of the routes were put up by Rangers a long time ago. Feel free to PM me if you need more help. It's not a spectacular crag but the setting sure is!
