Work Weekend spots for 2015 will be filled by March 2
Work Weekend will be held at Climbers Gateway Campground this year from Saturday, April 4 through Sunday April 5 Work Week will be an annual tradition at the Climbers' Gateway Campground during which general maintenance is performed to prepare for the summer season. The camp opens to the public on April 20th. Work Weekend projects include clean-up of the camp sites and property, staining wood minor plumbing and carpentry repairs. Skill and experience are welcome but not required. Volunteers are served at least one generous meal each day, courtesy of the Campsite. Work Week volunteers are also entitled to stay at the ranch for a period of time during the months of Climbing season .Begin your season with Volunteering at the campsite

Work week is an opportunity for volunteers to help prepare the Campsites for opening in exchange for some free camping during the climbing season. Each year volunteers skilled and unskilled will donate their time to help with everything from routine maintenance issues (fixing leaky toilets, testing smoke detectors, and setting parking lot signposts to digging footings. To qualify for free lodging later in the season-you must have worked both days of weekend
Of course, work week is also about rekindling old friendships… and making new ones.
Volunteers will work April 4 and 5th. A meal will be served at 6 pm Saturday and a breakfast on Sunday of the scheduled work day.Volunteers can camp that weekend from Friday on. You will receive a pass to camp 1 week out of the season. Must be used only during the scheduled times. You may not split the days they must be used all at once.

Free camping is for only the guests who volunteered their time. The work weekend will only except 20 volunteers for the weekend .Five campsites will be open during those weeks for your enjoyment .Volunteers must register with campsite 2 weeks before they'd like to use their week.
If interested please send an email to gunks@americanalpineclub.org between March 5 and March 20 2015, (emails outside of those dates will not be counted). Please include a little about yourself, maintenance skills, instrument played, favorite color etc. Your name will be entered into the drawing and winners will be contacted by the end of March. A wait list will also be generated.

The theme for Work Week 2015 is Yogi Bear.Picnic tables and bear boxes will be assembled and placed at campsites.Please bring you’re your tools,and a strong back,and an desire to use them
