Warning Access Issue: Camping for Climbers in Mazama DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

This is a newly developed area, so be careful of falling rocks when rappelling or going off route. It is advised to wear a helmet while climbing, belaying, or sitting at the base of the climbing area.

Rest and belay areas are shaded while most of the climbs are in the sun.

A 60 meter rope is sufficient, but tie a knot at the end of the rope as a safety precaution as a couple routes will require the entire length of the rope.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the hiking trail up past Sunbug Slab, staying left at the sign for A-Wall. Pass a small instruction slab on your left, and continue up the main hiking trail another 200-300 yards or so to a junction and a sign that says "Mazama". Turn left here to leave the hiking trail and traverse past cairns on an open bench for another ~200 yards until the trail cuts right into the woods and switchbacks up to the crag, meeting the wall at Hangdoggers go to Heaven.
