Description Suggest change

A La Torry is a contrivance that stays true to the arete, the east face holds are off.

Stand start with a left hand sidepull in a shallow hueco and a right hand on the arete. From there, move to a perfect, left hand gaston on the arete, gain a thin right hand sidepull, paste a heel, reach the lip, and top it out.

Mileage can be added with a sit start, the difficulty and quality don't change much though.

Location Suggest change

This ascends the Northeast arete of Main Boulder. It shares the same arete as Sunny Day Syd, but the style and movement are very different though. A La Torry stays true to the arete versus Sunny Day Syd, which uses the arete and the adjacent east face.

Protection Suggest change

A pad or two, the landing is perfect though.
