Description

A sweet line between routes 7 and 8.Crack in middle of lower wall, hang up and right, work back left to good ledge, then power back right to top. (Note: a much tougher line is present if one does not work towards ledge. I'm confidant it is doable for some other DL Hardman.)

Here's an oddity: this route is aka "Don't Touch The Pine", and Swartling rates it 5.9.

What's odd is that in early printings of Climber's Guide to Devil's Lake (Second Edition, Revised and Enlarged) this route is NOT described. But in recent printings of the same title & edition, it's right there in black & white. It's even been added to the Index! Even odder, it appears that this is the ONLY named route that has been added to recent printings ... as if it corrects a typo or something? (Odder still, that I should sit down with two copies of this book and compare the indexes ... my wife just shook her head.)

FWIW, Peter's route name is better, and his rating is more accurate.
